The Assistant High-Performance coach will work in partnership with the NTDC Head Coach to plan, coordinate and monitor the training, race preparation and competition of NTDC Athletes.
The NTDC works within the framework of Nordiq Canada’s system of training centres to provide elite cross-country skiers with intensive training and competition programs. Athletes from across the country are selected based on national performance criteria to participate in the NTDC program, providing these dedicated individuals with national level coaching, access to extensive high level training facilities and excellent sport science testing services. Our athletes compete at regional, national and international competitions from late November to early April. Their individualized training programs average over 750 hours per year and are usually blended with demanding academic pursuits.
